Find the right way to exercise for yourself
1. Ask your doctor
After consulting with a health care professional or physical activity specialist, people with chronic illnesses or mobility issues should understand how their illness or mobility issues affect their ability to be physically active.Talk to your doctor about how much and what kind of exercise is appropriate for you, discuss your barriers to physical activity, and ask your doctor to put you in touch with resources and programs to help you start or maintain your physical activity.
2. Get active
Some friends with limited mobility may have the ability to do a lot of physical activity, and if so, they should largely follow the guidelines for adults.
Decide how much physical activity is right for you and your level of health.
Decide what physical activities you enjoy, such as gardening, housework, wheelchair dancing, playing wheelchair basketball, etc.Find ways to incorporate your favorite physical activities into your daily life.
3. Take your time
When some of your mobility-impaired friends are unable to meet these guidelines, you should engage in regular physical activity according to your ability.
Start slowly according to your ability and level of health, for example, a few minutes of activity at a time, and then slowly increase the duration of activity over a few weeks if necessary.Do what you can to make physical exercise enrich your life, and believe that everything will become better and better!
